This Stanford University study investigated the effects of two diets in 11 healthy volunteers over 10 days to ascertain the diets effects on insulin, triglyceride (TG) and high-density lipoprotein (HDL)-cholesterol concentrations were analysed. One diet had 40% carbohydrate of calories (Lower Carb), the other at 60% carbohydrate of calories (Higher Carb).
